'ERASER WHEEL' I am intrigued by processes and decided to create a piece using the eraser I received in order to rub out things I would like to erase from my life. I wrote these in pencil on the piece of paper enclosed, and then proceeded to erase them using the green eraser wheel with a piezo contact microphone attached.
The sound variations are created by the speed, intensity and depth of the erasing. Moving from gentle rhythmic swishing to a scratchy, fast and slightly unsettling tempo giving an intimate sense of the process. Format: audio (mp3)
